Hon. Owusu-Banahene Justina, the out-going Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani Municipal Assembly took office of this noble Municipality from her predecessor Hon. Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson in May, 2019 to continue to execute the Government’s vision and mission. Due to her hard work, dedication and selfless ambition to the service of her nation, on the 25th January, 2021, she was nominated by His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the President of the Republic of Ghana as a Regional Minister designate for Bono Region after the 7th December, 2020 General Elections where NPP was declared the winner. Subsequently, on 2nd March, 2021, she went through the vetting process and was successful. Hon. Owusu- Banahene Justina was sworn-in by His Excellency, the President of the Republic on 11th March, 2021 to assume office as Bono Regional Minister to lead in the execution of the Government’s Programmes and Projects under the Co-ordinated Programme of Economic and Social Development Policies (CPESDP) on Agenda for Job Creation which is categorized under the five development dimensions:

1. Economic Development
2. Social Development
3. Environment, Infrastructure and Human Settlement Management
4. Governance, Corruption and Public Accountability and
5. Ghana’s Role in International Affairs

The Sunyani Municipal Assembly want to use this opportunity to congratulate her on her appointment as the Bono Regional Minister and wish her well on all her endeavours.
